Overview

The Bank of New York Mellon seeks a Specialist, Mainframe Developer in Pittsburgh, PA, to provide application software development services and technical support. Perform requirements gathering and BRD and SRD preparations. REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or a related occupation. Five (5) years of progressively responsible experience must include: Coordinating, designing, constructing, testing and implementing facets of downloadable content using technologies/tools including COBOL, JCL, CICS, VSAM, DB2, REXX, ESP, Endevor, MQ Series, and NAS in order to ensure high-quality deliveries for clients; Conducting and participating in peer reviews of critical deliverables in order to track defects and formulate solutions; Integrating business rules with technical coding details to formulate detailed test plans and thoroughly validate all testing streams prior to deployment; Reviewing the configuration and data security rules within the Mainframe security systems of the financial systems; Collaborating with interdepartmental applications within the financial systems network to validate payment process flow; Integrating core and advanced concepts in data analytics within the financial services industry during the audit process using MS Excel; Utilizing technology audit skills and validating system code effectiveness, data protection and privacy, user authentication and entitlements, adherence to technology policies and standards, effectiveness within financial systems and applications; Utilizing knowledge of risk and compliance controls to align and integrate key risk and performance indicators for business objectives in order to manage risk and adhere to compliance requirements; and Utilizing knowledge of Automated Clearing House processing including Nacha formats and the Clearing House to ensure transactions are processed within compliance requirements and to client specification.
