We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Global Head of Business Performance, Global Asset Management.
Role Purpose
The Global Head of Business Performance is responsible for the financial planning and analysis of the Global Asset Management (AMG) business. It also covers review and control of the MI reporting within AMG. This role is also expected to deputise for the AMG CFO, when appropriate.

Role Purpose
The Global Head of Business Performance is responsible for the financial planning and analysis of the Global Asset Management (AMG) business. It also covers review and control of the MI reporting within AMG. This role is also expected to deputise for the AMG CFO, when appropriate.
Key Responsibilities
- Closely supporting Global Asset Management CFO to provide better understanding of costs, potential levers, forward looking projections for the Asset Management (AM) Business within the region
- Understand the entire operating chain of the business and how the numbers impact forward looking planning; commit to maximizing efficiency and productivity at all levels without compromising quality
- To be a trusted business advisor, focused on growth and returns, through effective reporting and powerful insights
- Leading the preparation of monthly financials reporting and Forecast / Financial Resource Plan (FRP) to AM business, which provides senior Finance and Business leadership with projections of future financial performance across P&L, Balance Sheet and Financial metrics for comparison to FRP targets and to influence commercial decision making
- AM Management Information across Manufacturing and Distribution activity, including performance analysis, forecasting and annual planning, with accurate and timely delivery to support key business decision-making forums
- High quality insight and analysis of AM business over financial performance, forecast, plan and projections, including benchmarked in the context of industry peers' performance
- Assess and challenge business unit planning, strategies, new products and transactions across the full suite of commercial and capital lens
- Leading, managing and motivating a team based in London, Hong Kong, covering a full range of business partnering and financial planning and analysis; On-going partnership with offshore teams is critical for success
- Supporting and challenging the business to deliver medium and long term targets, with a focus on revenues, costs, FTE, core business performance metrics, investment spend and allocations;
- Maintain oversight and provide guidance, coordination support, review and feedback to entities across the region on MI
- Be agile and lead commercial projects of strategic nature that will challenge the way we look at performance and profitability
- Bring a new perspective in how projections can be simplified, centralized and automated; engage with AM Finance and GFC team for continuous improvement
- Inspire, motivate, lead and coach a team of diverse, aspiring and energetic professionals
- Build healthy working relationships with Global, Regional and Country stakeholders based on trust and display role model qualities in how we business partner with colleagues
- Help drive the wider Finance transformation agenda, contribute to initiatives; proactively digitize our processes with the use of technology
Requirements
- Professional accounting qualifications are strongly preferred
- Deep understanding and strong experience in Asset Management business is highly preferred
- Commercial outlook - able to connect numbers, performance drivers and 'real world' event
- Proven leadership and relationship management skills in dealing with all levels as well as the confidence to interact with senior management
- Strong influencing, interpersonal, negotiation and conflict resolution abilities
- Excellent communication, planning and organization skills
- Highly-motivated, diligent, collaborative, personable and capable of working independently and exercising judgment
- Project management skills, including creating lean processes and governance structure
- People management skills, experienced in coaching people and managing a team
