The Team: RASS: is a business line in S&P Global Market intelligence that provides specialized content and capabilities that enable clients to analyze sectors and trends, manage risk and solve complex problems and make confident decisions around supply chain, Maritime & Trade, investor relations, and economics & country risk. Our deep sector intelligence includes financial institutions, insurance, real estate, technology, media, telecoms, sustainability, and commodities. With a goal to deliver a billion dollars in revenue by 2024, the team has ambitions plans.
While the group holds responsibility for its own growth initiatives, it also has accountability for two major growth initiatives - Supply Chain and Sustainability - that cross Market Intelligence. As a new business, established at the close of the merger, RASS has significant work to do to transform into a homogenous business line that takes full advantage of its scale and expertise to work quickly and efficiently to deliver growth for the organization through exciting innovation.

It is also purpose driven, focusing beyond growth on Data for Good as an initiative, inspiring a population of around 1,400 to look for ways that our business can accelerate progress in line with the S&P Global purpose. The Impact:
  • The Head of RASS Program Management will lead a strategic multi-year initiative that will help accelerate growth across five pillars: Supply Chain, Sustainability, Geographic Expansion, Open Distribution and Advisory. The role will report to the Head of RASS and be located in a US/Europe time zone.
  • Enabling growth requires focus on governance and operational excellence where other program work is expected to fall into the remit of this role. Supporting enterprise audit and internal RASS reviews of in-business controls.
  • Liaising across the full suite of business functions: product, commercial, finance, technology, data, people, compliance etc. to ensure that programs are run with impeccable stakeholder management will be essential.
  • Working across business lines in MI as well as across divisions in S&P Global will also form part of the role since several growth initiatives span multiple areas of the enterprise.
  • This role will set up world class program management governance to ensure that we track implementation and execution across RASS. It will develop program/project plans for key initiatives and ensure that they are kept on track and on budget, touching a wide range of RASS activities.
  • This candidate has excellent communications skills and can lead conversations in both technical and executive sessions. Must be able to mediate complex discussions that lead to conclusive outcomes and push to common principles and culture.
Duties & accountabilities:
  • Leads all program functions supporting execution and tracking of workstreams and large-scale multi-year efforts related to our enterprise data transformation
  • Develops forward thinking program strategies that incorporate the views and needs of all elements of RASS
  • Collaborates across the RASS leadership team to create common measurements as part of the program's delivery lifecycle, focusing on enhancing business outcomes
  • Manages definition of value driven milestones as it relates to business impacts, working directly with divisional business leads on program value creation
  • Responsible for all program governance layers from individual workstream to Executive SteerCo
  • Represents program at divisional level discussions
  • Partners with our finance team to support budgetary requirements across the program
  • Creates radical transparency through a high degree of measurement and continuous communications across divisional boundaries
  • Create a culture that positions the organization for operational excellence
  • Manages all global program communications streams to create consistent messaging and flow of information inclusive of executive materials
Education and experience:
  • 15+ years of experience in relevant disciplines and functions
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in a Business, Financial or Technical field
  • Experience of working with development methodologies like Agile, Kanban
  • Fast paced and detail oriented
  • Has executed large scale programs within a diverse company
  • Strong inter-personal and influencing skills
  • Displays a consistent, positive, can-do professional attitude
  • Proactive and able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Focused on delivery, quality and timeliness
  • Open-minded, flexible and willing to adapt to changing business requirements
  • Ability to work well under pressure

  • Collaboration is a key tenet of the role, both internally and more broadly with stakeholders and members off the extended team
Compensation/Benefits Information:
S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $170,000 to $210,000. Base salary ranges may vary by geographic location.
