The Role: Lead GIS Software Developer
The Location : Princeton, NJ OR Virtual US
Grade : 11 (for internal use only)

The Team:
You will work with a team of intelligent, ambitious, and hard-working software professionals. It's a global team which is responsible for the architecture, design, development, testing and maintenance of the next-generation Mapping application. It's a small team of 4-5 developers which are part of larger Scrum Team. We have autonomy on taking decisions which benefit the application. Always looking to push the envelope in Architecture and Design by adopting Best Practices e.g. moving applications to cloud or containers or converting older frameworks to react js. Other responsibilities include transforming product requirements into Technical Design/ Implementation & writing technical requirements.

Responsibilities:
  • Architect, design, and implement software related projects.
  • Perform Code Reviews.
  • Manage and improve existing solutions.
  • Work collaboratively with business partners to understand and clarify requirements.
  • Collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Solve a variety of complex problems and figure out possible solutions, weighing the costs and benefits.
  • Produce technical design documents and conduct technical walkthroughs.
  • Active participation in all scrum ceremonies following Agile principles and best practices.
What We're Looking For:
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or Engineering is required.
  • 5-8 years of Full STACK experience in application development.
  • 5 years of C# and .NET development.
  • 5 years in JavaScript/jQuery, ReactJS, Knockout, Bootstrap.js and Durandaljs.
  • 3 years of Mapping/GIS Experience.
  • Familiarity with ESRI, MapInfo, GeoServer, ArcGIS.
  • Experience implementing Web Services, Rest API etc.
  • Good experience with developing solutions involving relational database technologies on SQL Server platform, stored procedure programming experience using Transact SQL.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Full stack development experience in modern web development technologies, .NET/.NET Core, Web API's, REST/OData, AWS, IIS, SQL.
  • Proficient with software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies like Agile, Test-driven development.
  • Quality first mindset with a strong background and experience with developing products for a global audience at scale.
  • Excellent analytical thinking, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills with strong ability to influence both IT and business partners.
  • Superior knowledge of system architecture, object-oriented design, and design patterns.
  • Good work ethic, self-starter, and results-oriented.

Compensation and Benefits Information (US Applicants Only) :
S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $85,700 - $170,400. Base salary ranges may vary by geographic location.
In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive bonus.
