Department overview: The Market Intelligence Platform and Channels (PC) organization provides data technology and services supporting acquisition, ingestion, content management, mastering and distribution to power our business line and customer needs. Focus on platform scale to supporting business lines through a common data lifecycle that accelerates business value. The office strives to provide new insight to our customers through data discovery, research, and integrated access. In certain cases, the office will utilize capital investment on key initiatives to deliver immediate value or remediate high risk areas through structured programs. Maintains a focus on innovation to keep ahead of market trends and disruptive technologies.

Responsibilities: The Database Development team is responsible for implementing services and/or tools to support an internal 3rd party data catalog (Collibra) - a layer on top of our existing data assets that allows users to consume object and schema information regardless of where it is managed within the organization. Tooling/Services will include the interconnection from the data catalog to the data fabric (Google Cloud Platform) and configuring role permissioning between the catalog and the fabric. Responsibilities include:
  • Work with a variety of diverse software development teams including Information Architecture and Data Fabric to build requirements for services and tools to support the automation of workflow processes related to the Lodestone initiative.
  • Using those requirements, develop and maintain services and/or tools utilizing vendor APIs in C#.
  • Maintain documentation and be able to mentor other developers on working with vendor APIs and future tooling that is authored.
What We're Looking For:
  • 6+ years of experience developing commercial applications with C# and a common relational data platform (SQL Server)
  • Deep understanding of REST, good API design, and OOP principles
  • Solid understanding of SQL and relational databases (SQL Server & PostgreSQL)
  • Experience in maintaining and developing software in production utilizing cloud-based tooling (AWS, Docter & Kubernetes, Okta)
  • Experience with cloud-based software change management tools (Azure DevOps & GitHub)
  • A solid, self-motivated developer that puts quality first, has good code organization and utilizes unit testing to maintain a healthy codebase.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills. Capable of authoring slides for senior management presentations
  • Keeps up to date on technology trends and invests time in maintaining skillset to find opportunities in emerging technology stacks.
Nice to have Qualifications and Skills:
  • Experience with Javascript or Typescript and front-end technologies like React.js or Blazor
  • Experience with OData
  • Experience working within the bureaucracy of a large Global corporation to accomplish goals.
Compensation and Benefits Information:
S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $85,800 - $170,350. Base salary ranges may vary by geographic location.
In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive bonus.
