The Team:
DATA API Product development team at S&P Market Intelligence builds and maintain highly available internal APIs and serves many client facing applications.

The Data API team has a broad and expert knowledge on Market Intelligence data domains, technology stacks and architectural patterns. They foster knowledge sharing and collaboration that results in a unified strategy. Team members provide leadership, innovation, timely delivery, and the ability to articulate business value.

The Impact:
As a member of the Data API Team, you will be responsible for analysis, design, architecture, development and support of enterprise applications. The ideal candidate should have expertise with cutting edge technologies and a desire to drive change through all alignment across the enterprise. The role requires the candidate to be a hands-on problem solver and developer helping to extend and manage the API platforms. You will be an expert contributor and part of the S&P Market Intelligence DATA API team.

Responsibilities:
  • Plan/manage tasks as per the release cycles.
  • Design, Document and Develop solutions to support key business needs.
  • Engineer components and common services based on standard corporate development models, languages and tools.
  • Produce system design documents and contribute to technical walkthroughs.
  • Collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical partners.
  • Support and maintain production environments
  • Train and mentor junior developers on the team accordingly.
What We're Looking For
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum 5+ years of work experience in Technology (application development and production support).
  • .Net full stack development with exposure to Microservices, AWS & SQL technologies.
  • 5+ years of object-oriented software development experience developing server side components in a near real-time large-scale enterprise environment.
  • 5+ years of SOA development experience with strong skills in .Net and .Net Core, C#, VB.Net, Web API, WCF/SOAP, MVC, Web Services (SOAP, WCF & RESTful), SQL Server and AWS Cloud.
  • Good exposure on SQL server and SQL performance tuning techniques.
  • Experience on Serverless technologies & Containerization using Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Proficient with working on AWS Services Like VPC, ELB, Security Groups, EC2, S3, Cloud Watch, Lambda, API Gateway, RDS.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with Continuous integration and deployment tools like Jenkins and Azure DevOps.
  • Usage of Visual Studio and VS Code for source code management and development
  • Experience with Test Tools such as Postman and Fiddler to create unit Test cases, Performance testing, Load testing
  • Hands on with IIS application server
  • Good understanding of data models and data architecture
  • Experience supporting production environments
  • Expert knowledge of Agile/Scrum and Safe approaches to software development and able to put key Agile principles into practice to deliver solutions incrementally.
  • Experience working with cross functional teams.
  • Detail oriented with ability to take Initiative and proactively address problems
  • Excellent analytical thinking, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
  • Manage work to hit critical project timelines in a fast-paced environment.
Compensation and Benefits Information:
S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $ 58,300 - $115,850. Base salary ranges may vary by geographic location.
In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive bonus.
