Job Description:
  • At Deutsche Bank, you'll see that working here is about much more than banking. We are committed to fostering an inclusive workplace that makes a real, positive difference in the industry.

    About Deutsche Bank

Deutsche Bank is the leading German bank with strong European roots and a global network. We're driving growth through our strong client franchise. Against a backdrop of increasing globalization in the world economy, Deutsche Bank is very well-positioned, with significant regional diversification and substantial revenue streams from all the major regions of the world. We serve our clients' real economic needs in commercial banking, investment banking, private banking and asset management. We are investing heavily in digital technologies, prioritizing long term success over short-term gains, and serving society with ambition and integrity. All this means a career packed with opportunities to grow and the chance to shape the future of our clients.

    The dbEnable Work Placement Programme

At Deutsche Bank, we're changing what it means to be a bank. We're looking for creative thinkers who are ready to transform an industry from day one. We will be running our 10-week Work Placement Programme again, aimed at providing students with disabilities an opportunity to gain valuable professional experience across various divisions within the bank. This Work Placement Programme will show you the many career opportunities available at the bank, and the ways you can help drive change for the future of finance. You'll experience our commitment to diversity and an inclusive work environment first-hand.

    Participating Divisions in the Programme

    Corporate Bank (RTM)
The Corporate Bank is a market leader in risk management for FX and Rates, cash management, lending, trade finance, trust and agency services as well as securities services. At the heart of Corporate Bank sits Relationship and Transaction Management, pivotal in delivering the best-in-class client management solutions to our corporate and institutional clients worldwide. Relationship and Transaction Management partners with product specialists and other departments including legal, compliance and Client Lifecycle Management to continually provide a seamless end-to-end banking experience to our clients.

    International Private Bank (IPB)
As the International Private Bank (IPB), we combine capabilities of Deutsche Bank Wealth Management (WM) and Private & Commercial Business International (PCBI) in one unit. IPB brings together WM's globally connected clients across Germany, Europe, Americas, Asia and Middle East and Africa, along with PCBI's private clients and small and medium-sized enterprises in IT, ES, BE and IN. As a trusted partner of wealthy individuals and entrepreneurs, family offices and foundations, we create lasting value for our clients by developing bespoke solutions such as wealth planning across successive generations and international borders, asset management with individual risk management, loans and deposits. All this is possible thanks to our global network, our many years of experience and our close collaboration with the Corporate & Investment Bank and DWS. We combine financial strength and stability with trustworthy partnership and forward thinking in order to build sustainable and beneficial relationships.

    Fixed Income & Currencies (ICG)
The Fixed Income & Currencies business enables Deutsche Bank to respond to increasing automation, regulatory expectations and client demand for standardisation and transparency in execution across fixed income, currency and emerging markets. Our teams work together in collaboration to ensure our clients achieve their goals. Deutsche Bank's Emerging Markets business is a truly global enterprise, operating a hub and spoke model to leverage deep pockets of expertise in emerging economies around the world. The business syndicates and trades risk across a vast product spectrum, from FX, interest rates, bonds and structured solutions, to help our clients manage their risk and grow their businesses.

    Origination & Advisory (O&A) (Change & Transformation)
Our Corporate Finance business provides the full range of advisory and financing products and services of a leading global investment bank. Our clients include large-cap and mid-cap corporates, financial institutions, governments, government agencies and financial sponsors. We recognise that selecting the right investment banking partner can be the key to a company's success. Our relationships are enhanced by industry sector, country and regional expertise, closely aligned to high-quality client solutions. We offer both buyside and sellside advisory services for mergers and acquisitions, restructuring advisory, debt and equity capital raising services and structured equity transactions. We advise on innovative cross-border and regional transactions in the US, Europe and Asia Pacific.

    Chief Risk Office (CRO)
Deutsche Bank is exposed to a wide range of risks every day. Credit losses, volatility of market prices, operational failures, infrastructure outages, liquidity shortages, and regulatory and legal matters can all have an impact on the bank's capital and reputation. The CRO function has Group-wide, supra-divisional responsibility for the management/control of all credit, market, operational & liquidity risks and the continuing development of methods for risk measurement. In addition, CRO function is responsible for monitoring, analysing and reporting risk on a comprehensive basis. CRO function is structured along three core dimensions: business aligned coverage; overarching regional risk management; and risk & control functions. This includes Credit Risk Management, Market & Valuation Risk Management, Liquidity Risk Management; Non-Financial Risk Management, Enterprise Risk Management, Group Strategic Analytics, and Chief Operating Office.

    Human Resources (HR)
Working in markets around the world, our people make us strong. They are Deutsche Bank. Without Human Resources, we could never source, develop and retain the best talent, or apply the strategies that motivate their performance. We have a key role in the delivery of a culture that aligns risks and rewards, attracts and develops talented individuals, fosters teamwork and partnership, and makes a positive contribution to the countries in which we operate. Our people in Human Resources find and recruit the brightest talent. They develop their skills by providing them with structured, on-going training. They give every single member of our staff the chance to achieve their career goals and make their work exceptionally rewarding.

    Anti-Financial Crime (AFC)
The Chief Administrative Office (CAO) is primarily composed of Anti-Financial Crime (AFC), Compliance, Legal, Regulatory Affairs and the Chief Operating Office. Jointly, the CAO functions provide the strong and necessary control environment for our bank to deliver on its strategy and to enter a phase of sustainable growth going forward. The AFC function performs a critical role in keeping Deutsche Bank's business operations as well as the global financial services clean from financial crime while serving the interests of the bank and society at large. Thus, AFC cooperates closely with regulatory authorities and also contributes to the fight against cybercrime.

    What We Look For
