Reporting to the Senior Vice President and Chief Investment Officer, the Investment Officer is one of four “generalists” who collaborate to identify, establish and maintain investment manager relationships.  The position involves traveling and includes attending annual meetings/conferences.  The position organizes and conducts due diligence through personal interviews and makes recommendations regarding existing investment firms and potential firms.  This may also be in coordination with an external consultant. Investment Officers also proactively initiate, develop and maintain networks within the investment community and peer educational endowments to keep the University ahead of developing investment opportunities. Investment Officers ensure that appropriate guidelines, risk management and other controls are followed and assist in the ongoing operating functions of the investment program.  The University’s Investment Office collaborates with the Investment Committee of the Board of Trustees in structuring and implementing the investments of the University’s endowment.
