MISSION

The Institutional Portfolio Management Business Unit is in charge of managing Candriam's portfolios of insurance companies and pension funds. It employs around 25 people, based in Brussels and divided into four sub-teams: Equity Portfolio Management, Bond Portfolio Management, Asset Allocation Portfolio Management and Investment Support.

The required profile will be integrated within Investment Support that offers support to the three portfolio management teams. It will require technical knowledge (VBA, PowerBI, Python) in order to be able to respond to infrastructure and software changes within the BU.

RESPONSABILITIES

He/She will have the following tasks:
  • Assistance to the daily management through the control of investment limits, NAV validations and performance analysis.
  • Preparation of data for client and strategic presentations.
  • Day-to day cash management via money market funds and repo operations.
  • Index portfolio management by analysing and replicating risk factors of benchmarks.
  • Preparation of customised data, such as accounting return forecasts for the insurance portfolios, macro-economic data, fee simulations, answers to RFP's, ...
  • Participation in various projects related to tool changes within investment management, for instance:
  • migration of investment analyses from Excel to PowerBi,
  • integration of ESG data from external and internal data bases in the IT systems and in the management process,
  • automation and implementation of files or presentations for the portfolio managers and reporting purposes,
  • ...


PROFILE
  • Master 's degree in Finance
  • Dutch/English and/or French/English fluent
  • A first experience in the Financial Services sector, ideally in Asset Management.
  • Excellent knowledge of Pack Office + VBA, Python, PowerBI
  • Analytical mind and good organisational skills
  • Autonomy, practicality, ability to find solutions
  • Proactive, dynamic, good communication skills.
