This role will be responsible for providing Technology Governance and SME support for Global Infrastructure Oracle Database Operations as part of 24*7*365 Production Management organization, an organization that delivers highly secure, reliable, efficient technology operations services that are focused on the needs of all State Street business. Responsible for Incident, Problem, Change, Knowledge and Configuration management for Oracle Database & Exadata infrastructure platforms including compliance governance for vendors. This role will be responsible for the day to day support of Oracle Database & Exadata infrastructure platform operations processes including Oracle Golden Gate replication and Oracle Enterprise Manager, ensuring all technology SLA's/OLA's are met, driving platform availability. In collaboration with the business, technology peers, and vendor partners, you will ensure that State Street's businesses have optimized services and operations, enabling greater availability, performance and reliability in the delivery of State Street products.

What you will be responsible for
As Infrastructure Operations Oracle Database Senior Engineer, you will be responsible to
  • Provide Technology Governance support of Oracle Database & Exadata Operations including from managed service providers
  • Provide SME & Management escalation point of contact for major incidents
  • Technical leadership and hands-on support for Goldengate and OEM
  • Provide Center of Excellence support and optimization on Database performance, backup recovery, Critical process for Platinum tier Applications
  • Incident, Change, Knowledge, and Problem Management accountability including for managed service vendors
  • 24 x 7 x 365 incident escalations.
  • Management and support of Oracle database, RAC, Dataguard, Enterprise Manager, Backup/Recovery, ZFS on Exadata and Linux/Solaris Platforms including Service delivery by vendors
  • Cost optimization and simplification for platform
  • Capacity & Lifecycle Management of Platforms
  • Global standardization - Platform, services, and processes
  • Establish high performing onshore, nearshore, and offshore teams
  • Collaborates with Service Delivery, Engineering, ITSM, Architecture, Application teams, Technology vendors, Security, Application support and other infrastructure operations teams to operate resilient, and secure platforms at industry best standards

Education & Preferred Qualifications
  • B.S/M.S. Degree
  • 5+ years in Technical Leadership role
  • 15+ years as L3 Production Support Engineer
  • Oracle, RAC, Dataguard, Exadata, OEM, GoldenGate, Replication, ZFS, Exadata, UNIX, AIX, Linux
  • Private Cloud management
  • Certification Database Administration - Oracle, Exadata, Azure, OCI, Goldengate
  • ITIL

Salary Range:
$130,000 - $212,500 Annual
The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
