The Role: Strategic Planning Analyst

The Team: The Strategic Planning Analyst will work within the Business Strategy & Planning - Chief of Staff Office within the COO function of S&P Global Market Intelligence. Our team's mission is to lead integral business operations to drive the value of the division. We partner with the leadership team and operate in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

The Impact: You will be contributing to large-scale initiatives focused on driving growth and operational excellence, including but not limited to: supporting critical business priorities for division President, strategic business planning, growth initiatives, and business analysis to support decision-making. Strategic planning efforts are among the top priorities for the continued growth and development of the business.

Responsibilities:
Support the Chief of Staff and Division by:
  • Coordinating materials for key strategic meetings including Board Meetings, Quarterly Business Reviews, and Strategy Meetings
  • Tracking and measuring progress on division-wide objectives and KPIs as part of executive reporting and analytics capabilities
  • Driving execution of action items and critical business priorities in partnership with the leadership team and broader division
  • Supporting preparation for division President's engagements with a focus on external customer engagement and internal strategy meetings
  • Partnering with cross-functional teams including communications, sales & marketing, human resources, technology, and finance to support process improvement and problem-solving
  • Sourcing, analyzing, and deriving insights from internal and external data sources to
    support data-driven decision-making and business strategy
What We're Looking For:
  • Bachelors or master's degree with a focus on business and/or finance; academic experience
    in computer science preferred
  • 0-2 years of prior experience in a strategic and/or analytical role within a consulting firm, investment bank, private equity firm, and/or financial technology company
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; particularly PowerPoint and Excel (PowerBI or similar BI tools such as Tableau is a plus)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to lead and influence internal stakeholders
  • Proven effectiveness and comfort working with stakeholders (both internal and external) at different levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated ability to self-direct and be proactive with a strong business sense, and accountability to meet deadlines
  • Unmatched attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple workstreams without sacrificing quality
NOTE: This role is limited to persons with indefinite right to work in the United States.

The Location: New York, NY, Boulder, CO

Compensation/Benefits Information (This section is only applicable to US Candidates):

S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $65,000 - $100,000. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual's geographical location as well as experience and qualifications for the role.

In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual bonus.
