Team overview

AIS Operations is made up of a number of hedge fund and private equity servicing functional areas such as Trade Execution, Trade Capture, Custody, Middle Office, Reconciliation, Billing, etc. AIS Operations assists the research and resolution of general and basic operational issues regarding fund administration. Follows existing documentation, process flows and standard operating procedures to complete routine day-to-day tasks.

Your role
Sr. Analyst in Trade Capture will be responsible for a wide variety of different tasks. The ideal candidate will need to be flexible in terms of skills and assigned duties. From supporting the daily process where needed to managing global projects related to the process and working closely with tech teams on improvements and new implementations.

The tasks will include

• Processing and uploading daily trading activity sent by the clients

• Setting up new securities in the accounting platform

• Supporting others in completing the duties related to the daily process

• Serving as a Subject Matter Expert for the process

• Managing global Trade Capture projects

• Working closely with tech teams as a business liaison and creating new rules for the process

• Working with internal and external clients on providing required data in expected formats and managing client's expectations around new projects

• Troubleshooting issues with the daily process and data uploads - adjusting the rules used for given clients
• Creating new excel macros and adjusting exiting ones that allow for streamlining the process

• Answering and acting on internal queries related to handled clients.

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to multi-task, work to deadlines and accommodate varying levels of volume and priorities
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize work
• Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
• Pro-active and highly motivated - goal orientated and driven to find resolution of problems
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to adapt to change
• Proactive in self-training
• A minimum of three years relevant work experience
• Technical knowledge how financial instruments works - both listed and unlisted would be advantage. Instrument types include, but are not limited to, equities, options, contracts for difference (CFD's), equity swaps, futures, forward contracts, bonds, interest rate swaps and credit default swaps.

Bachelors degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required.3-5 years of total work experience is preferred. Experience in brokerage processing is preferred. Applicable local/regional licenses or certifications as required by the business.

BNY Mellon assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $45,700 and $100,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNYM total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs.
This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
