We are looking for a highly experienced accounting and financial reporting Consultant to support the Singapore local Controllership team and the last phase of IFRS17 global implementation/ compliance program.

  • Looking for an opportunity to be part of an established global management consulting firm
  • Available immediately or with short notice
  • Motivated to leverage on prior GI specifically P&C accounting experience to be part of impactful global implementation/ compliance programs

Your Responsibilities Will Include
  • Prepare, report, and analyze regulatory financial performance results
  • Preparation of various Board and Audit Committee reports and attending & preparing materials related to the Investment Committee, and the reporting and variance analysis of capital
  • Local Statutory, US GAAP and Financial Close

Review:
  • Legal Entity income statement variance analysis
  • Balance Sheet reconciliations in the Blackline system
  • Property & Casualty return, and local solvency test prepared for quarterly and annual filings to regulatory regulators
  • Local STAT vs US GAAP comparative financial statement for tax provisions of standalone legal entity
  • Support the IFRS 17 Implementation program there where required - no direct involvement

Key Skills and Attributes for Success
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy
  • Professional accreditation in CA/ CPA/ ACCA is required
  • At least 8 years of relevant accounting and financial reporting experience under local GAAP / IFRS
  • Property and Casualty insurance accounting experience is crucial for the success of this role
  • Solid knowledge of Singapore IFRS and US GAAP
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a multi-matrix environment and deal with competing priorities
  • Excellent communication skills (both written & oral) including presentation development and delivery
  • Proven resiliency and tenacity to perform well under pressure and regularly meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced and transformational environment
