Job Profile
  • The APRA specialist is responsible for the provision of regulatory reporting related services to externals clients ( Investment manager and Superannuation market segments). Inclusive of the resolution of any internal and external queries relating to the project deliverables throughout the project lifecycle and client implementation.
  • The position requires strong technical accounting skills, business analytics and the ability to apply those skills into a changing business operating model. As an APRA specialist you will be required to partner across the organization including product, product development, tax operations and technology groups to deliver substantial change to the APRA reporting product & operating model ensuring a seamless onboarding of clients.
  • The successful applicant will be a key member of the operations project group within funds services, who partner with technology & product development to design, develop and implement enhanced solutions across key investment accounting, investment taxation and unit pricing platforms within the investor services business.
  • Development of business reporting requirements, inclusive of mapping APRA reporting requirements to global aligned general ledger.
  • Solution assessment & validation - working with project team members and stakeholders to assess proposed internal and external vendor solutions and subsequent operating models.
  • Reporting to Executive Director.
Requirements
  • Relevant custodial industry experience, or high-level exposure to custodial policies and processes in an in-house tax role in a superannuation fund or fund manager highly regarded.
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a mid senior level, preferably gained in a custody, professional accounting or financial services environment.
  • Proactive in identifying and implementing change improvements - champion of change.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications (e.g. Accounting/Finance/Economics), with additional CPA/CA qualification desirable.
