Overview
Designs, implements and maintains effective benefit plans that support and promote employee well-being. May lead more junior professionals in execution of benefits program activities. Responsible for executing multiple complex benefits projects and programs. Implements improvement strategies as directed and assigns work to more junior professionals. Enforces compliance with legal and regulatory standards and organizational policies and procedures among more junior professionals. Works directly with vendors to ensure the accurate and timely completion of contracted activities. Manages moderately complex negotiations with vendors and makes vendor recommendations to more senior benefits professionals and management. Contributes to discussions on resolution of vendor issues, buying and vendor administration process. Responsible for accurately and efficiently managing claims escalated by benefit plan participants through the People Center. Provides direction to managers, HR Business partners and employees and manages issue resolution. Handles complex issues and claims that may have legal or financial implications for the organization. Influences the direction of the team's research efforts to improve benefit programs and gather competitive intelligence. Contributes to research reports for functional management. May present a portion of findings and make recommendations to organizational management. Develops strategic plans for multiple complex benefits projects and programs in partnership with more senior professionals and management. Assesses vendor proposals and reviews recommendations from more junior professionals. Confirms expected results, desired outcomes and success measures and/or suggests improvements if needed. Assigns work to more junior professionals, coaches them to improve performance and contributes to the performance management process for the function. No direct reports,,, provides guidance to more junior professionals and assigns work. Leads project teams where leadership skills are required. Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required. 5-7 years of total work experience is preferred. Prior Benefits experience preferred..
