Job Title: Data Analyst (Client Services)
Location: North Carolina (Remote Eastern)
Job Status: Permanent, Full Time
Salary: 85,000 to 125,000 USD plus package
FINCO Search is retained by an award-winning Private Asset Management Fintech platform providing multi-asset class portfolio management and reporting information to UHNWIs, Family Offices, Private Banks, Foundations and Accountants.
As a result of consistent growth through client acquisition the client services team is expanding its team size to continue to deliver excellence in the access to and understanding of performance data delivered through their platform.
The Data Analyst is responsible for providing day to day support to the Client Service Directors, their UHNW families, and/or their investment advisors. They are looking for candidates with prior experience in the financial services or family office industry with strong organizational and analysis skills as well as the ability to think strategically to deliver best-in-class solutions.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Research and respond to inquiries regarding investment data including, but not limited to performance measurement, portfolio accounting, data modeling, and industry best practices across all asset classes and currencies.
- Conduct data analysis via data discovery, exploration, investigation, and impact assessments using proprietary software, Excel, and SQL.
- Apply best practices and illustrate understanding of the data flows that would be required of reporting systems and processes.
- Maintain change and additional feature requests by following the progress of the technology and /or operations staff in addressing the items.
- Provide client training and respond to client questions regarding the tools and products offered by the company.
- Have a willingness to jump in and assist any area of the company to help satisfy client needs.
- Create training material and lead training sessions related to business systems.
- Gather reporting requirements, develop reports, perform data analysis, and contribute to effective data governance.
Qualifications
- In-depth knowledge of the financial service industry, especially the advice channels.
- Thorough understanding of portfolio operations/accounting, investment performance, and reporting for marketable and non-marketable assets.
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and the ability to produce quality results in a time sensitive environment.
- Experience working with large data sets, including the ability to perform root cause analysis and propose potential solutions.
- Capable of multi-tasking and prioritizing appropriately in a rapidly changing environment.
- Proven work ethic that demands a sense of urgency and accuracy in responding to high priority issues and ad-hoc requests.
- High level of self-motivation and initiative, ability to work independently, including strong organizational and management skills.
- Process-oriented/control-oriented mindset, with the ability to define and implement accounting controls to ensure data quality and consistency of the team's financial output.
- Possess excellent communication skills, problem-solving aptitude, and creative thinking skills.
- Prior experience in financial industry, specifically client services (portfolio administration), and/or client and performance reporting.
- 3-5 years of software support or business analyst experience in functional business roles, i.e., finance or manufacturing.
- 1-3 years of large data analysis using Excel and/or SQL.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or other related field, or equivalent work experience. CFA preferred.
