You will play a key role in supporting the team in creating and structuring ESG funds, evaluating investment opportunities, particularly in the areas of research and analysis, financial modeling and investment underwriting of new opportunities, as well as portfolio management activities of the investments. It also requires him/her to stay ahead of ESG market trends and investment insights, generate new ESG ideas and strategies, and accelerate investments with strong ESG thesis that strengthen portfolio resiliency and long-term sustainable value creation.
Main responsibilities include:
Assist in the creation and structuring of new PE funds focused on ESG investment strategies and solutions, including market research, and preparation of presentations, pitchbooks, investment memoranda and legal documentations.
Research and analysis, underwriting and evaluating a variety of investment opportunities through an ESG lens
Build complex dynamic financial models to analyze investment opportunities (reviewing structures, relevant underwriting parameters and specific assets using financial models and a variety of quantitative analytical tools to test assumptions and sensitivities)
Perform detailed underwriting and transaction management activities including past and projected investment performance; sponsor evaluation; investment merits and risks, expected returns and sector dynamics as well as assist in the evaluation, structuring and execution of investment recommendations and review legal documentation and closing activities
Produce detailed deal specific investment memoranda for transaction recommendations to the investment committee or other relevant lines of approval
Participate in asset and portfolio management activities including monitoring and evaluating the investment portfolio performance, proposing and evaluating alpha-generation possibilities, participating in third party meetings, and analyzing proposed budgets, capital plans and other investment recommendations

Requirements
- Degree qualification in business, accountancy, finance, real estate, sustainability or related discipline with about 3 to 5 years' relevant working experience in a related industry
- Experience in both public and private equity investing related to ESG is a plus
- Solid financial modelling skills and strong research, quantitative and analytical skills, fundamental bottoms-up investing skills as well as a strong understanding of ESG related market trends
- Keen attention to detail and able to work independently with limited supervision
- Willingness to travel.
