European Renewables and Nordic Trading at Danske Commodities (DC)
As our new portfolio manager, you will join our European Renewables and Nordic Trading team in which we manage a portfolio of European renewables products such as solar and wind assets. Our field covers all parts of the energy value chain, including both physical and financial trading. Our role is to support our customers (such as owners of wind turbines or photovoltaic parks) in the power markets with bankable products that can support the energy transition. We have a long-term, strategic approach to our way of trading, with time horizons spanning from several years to just a few hours. Depending on your experience and wishes, you may get responsibility for the Nordic Region, the UK or Central Western Europe.

You will be working with a team of specialists within power pricing and hedging. We analyse and develop our tools in a flat hierarchy culture where models and assumptions are openly discussed in the team and together with relevant stakeholders. Our work is heavily dependent on collaboration with the entire DC value chain and towards our parent company, Equinor. We know that successful trading strategies depend on teamwork, and this means that we have a high degree of trust in one another.

Your journey as our new portfolio manager
Starting out, you will get a thorough introduction to the team, your stakeholders and the markets we operate in. We will also make sure to introduce you to our existing products, analyses and trading strategies. After 3-6 months, you will be able to manage a part of the portfolio of countries and borders more independently. On the longer term, you will play a significant role in developing our future market strategies and trading activities. And in time, we expect you to drive the development and trading of your own portfolio while actively supporting your colleagues. We will offer you a wide array of opportunities depending on the direction you would like to develop in.
