Corporate Actions Manager (Front Office) - Market leading Hedge Fund - $200k+ total comp package - N

The hire will work in the operations team that cover a broad remit, albeit the new hire will take ownership over core corporate actions responsibilities. You will sit on the investment desk, working alongside industry leading portfolio managers, in constant communication with them on corporate action events, as their sole point of contact. The role combines corporate actions processing, data integrity (analysing upcoming events and the associated risks) and PM support - managing portfolio manager & trader questions, queries and analysis on events. As a result, the hire can also expect to work closely to the in-house tax team and prime brokers. This is not an admin role - the remit requires research and ability to track portfolios for the PM's while also being trusted to make important decisions.

The hire will have the opportunity to learn and be trained to a high standard in SQL and VBA. There will also be an opportunity to learn python.

Progression elements are not limited at the firm. Previous operations hires are now senior operations managers, investment analysts, working in compliance, treasury and also risk management. The hiring manager is also keen to point out that moves to their expanding overseas offices can also be possible within this function.

Candidates should have 5-10yrs operations experience, ideally on the buy-side. Corporate actions experience is a pre-requisite. A strong academic profile and tech skills are preferred.
