What team will you be on?
BlackRock's global alternatives business includes the firm's investment capabilities across Real Estate, Infrastructure, Hedge Funds, Private Equity and Credit. BlackRock Alternatives currently manages over $300 billion in total assets and client commitments with a team of over 1,300 professionals. This unified global operating platform combines expertise, resources, and capabilities across asset classes with investment teams located in London, Dublin, New York, San Francisco, Seattle, Princeton, Hong Kong, Boston and Santa Monica among other locations.
Why is your role important?
The Alternative Client Platform ("ACP's ") objective is to enhance client experience via a centralized platform to support investor relations activities across our rapidly growing Alternatives business. Located in Atlanta, Budapest, London and Seattle, ACP is primarily responsible for delivering client reporting and fundraising support in partnership with our investment, client and operational teams. By developing and sharing best practices from across BAI and the alternatives industry, ACP drives scale and innovation while enhancing productivity.
This role will partner with the Head of ACP to drive current and future key critical initiatives, designed to support platform growth at scale. The role will also be responsible for leading ACP business management initiatives to ensure good governance and an inclusive culture. The individual must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, responsible for driving and executing on multiple projects and tasks concurrently. The role represents an opportunity to learn Alternatives asset classes and work with senior partners across the platform.

What will you be doing?
Strategic Project Management
- Own and drive various ACP strategic initiatives such as - client experience transformation (including strategic review of team structures and redesign of reporting), evaluation of opportunities for outsourcing and process automation & re-engineering
- Design communication strategy for new initiatives to clearly articulate objectives, business case and status including material preparation and speaking points
- Create and lead implementation plans including engagement with business partners
- Identify and measure critical metrics to monitor progress & navigate blockers
- Complete data analysis to provide business rationale for proposed strategies (including costs & budgeting, headcount assessment)
ACP Operations & Business Management
- Headcount: Identification and prioritization of headcount needs including business rationale. supervising FTE & CWK recruitment processes, coordinating with all partner teams including in connection with program analyst and student worker programs
- Management of external vendor relationship including invoice management
- ACP Learning & Development: Partnering with HR Learning & Development team to maintain/update ACP's Learning Hub within BlackRock Academies, connectivity with HR & Alternatives teams focused on training & development, management of dox site
- Team Culture & Connectivity: Lead team meetings, manage ACP Buddy Program, create bimonthly/quarterly internal team newsletters and oversee annual team focus & feedback groups; synthesize key themes and create action plans

- Strong communication skills and ability to create narrative around strategic initiatives, notably using PowerPoint
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to communicate effectively at all levels, including senior stakeholders
