We are currently seeking a collaborative, hands-on and solution-focused pricing analyst to work within a dedicated support / project team within Funds Services. The primary function of the centralized pricing function is to deliver accurate and timely security valuation services through a wide range of activities such as: maintaining a strict control environment, performing value add analysis and collaborating with internal teams to develop scalable production processes. Analyst will also support control activities related to security reference data. As the business in Asia is undertaking a program of continuous investment aimed at optimizing the APAC based technology and operating platform, there will also be opportunity to directly support the wider optimization project.

Responsibilities:
  • The daily management of, and creating and maintaining a positive and collaborate work environment for the team;
  • Leveraging industry experience to identify and implement process improvements;
  • Process and review security level prices provided by pricing vendors;
  • Analyze and interpret price movements against market expectations;
  • Provide subject matter expertise to support downstream teams;
  • Liaise with global and regional teams to resolve issues and minimize risk;
  • Resolve internal client queries promptly and professionally;
  • Escalate all issues promptly and effectively to supervisor;
  • Contribute to ongoing developments of the pricing control process;
  • Participate in project work stream as directed.
Requirements:
  • University graduate, preferably with major in Information System or Accounting / Finance / Business Administration / Economics;
  • 3-5+ year(s) of relevant experience within the finance industry & knowledge of financial products / accounting & finance principles;
  • Pricing vendor knowledge (e.g. Bloomberg, Reuters), and knowledge of industry activities particularly corporate actions, index tracking and stock markets is of benefit;
  • Understand the effect that changes in prices and other data elements have on the market value of an account and be sensitive to these changes;
  • Demonstrate an understanding and interest in stocks, bonds, options, derivatives, financial markets and products;
  • Self-motivated and proactive with the proven ability to work accurately and under pressure to meet deadlines;
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Visio, etc.); ability to use pivot tables and v-lookups is beneficial;
  • Mathematical mindset demonstrating strong numerical skills;
  • Strong analytical/problem solving skills and attention to detail;
  • Demonstrate ability to effectively communicate within a team environment and interact across departments;
  • Fluency in English (proficiency in Mandarin/Cantonese is advantageous);
  • Demonstrate customer focus, strong communication skills, and follow-up skills;
  • Ability to work independently and multi-task in a fast-paced environment;
  • The role holder will be required to operate flexible working hours to cover early starts and/or late finishes as demanded by the business.
