The Role Responsibilities
The individual will be responsible for managing a large portfolio of initiatives under the Harmony Program with the objective of digitising and transforming the CCIB business:
  • Oversee the co-ordination of program level milestones and adherence to Standard Chartered standards and governance mechanisms.
  • Structured and critical thinking to ensure that the program office is set up professionally, operating efficiently and driven to manage outcomes
  • Drive proactive management of issues and risks - working closely with Chief Product Owners and recognising the overall Program level risks and identifying mitigation action plans
  • Drive and manage resourcing / capacity demand and supply working closely with the Technology and Business stakeholders to ensure optimal model and drive productivity metrics
  • Support prioritisation when projects, issues are deemed 'urgent' by assessing what will have the most positive impact on the business/ clients and drive 'trade off' decision making
  • Manage and track program budget, monthly actuals, man day and non man day cost
  • Proactively engaging with project teams, technology partners, COO and CFO teams to ensure accurate and transparent management of financials, escalating to management as required
  • Oversee governance across the program eg. conduct risk assessments, update internal governance tools on a timely basis
  • Drive management reporting to senior level executives, responding to requests in a timely and efficient manner. Supporting the team in various ad-hoc projects/requests undertaken from time to time such as Digital Dashboards
  • Establish engagement cadence with stakeholders to ensure that they are informed and part of the decision-making process, as required
  • Effective and timely communication both across the program team members and stakeholders
  • Streamline processes/reporting to run an efficient and effective program
  • Be willing to roll up the sleeves and have a 'no job is too small' mentality

Our Ideal Candidate
  • 15 years experience in large scale program, project management
  • Ability to quickly ramp up on new concepts to keep up with the changing environment, deal with uncertainty
  • Demonstratable track record of managing large scale & complex global roll outs
  • Demonstrates good understanding of a wide range of elements of the Bank's business and the customers, industries, and partners with which the Bank is involved.
  • Strong commercial acumen, as well as demonstrable experience of understanding relationships between key financial and non-financial business drivers
  • Highly experienced in Financial & Portfolio Management - driving annual investment planning, budgeting. Demonstrable experience in resource planning, project forecasts and funding allocation. Manage cost in line with investment governance, achieve low financial variance meeting set targets.
  • Analytical, critical, and creative problem-solving skills with an in-depth understanding of utilizing electronic delivery channels to meet business goals and client needs.
  • Collaboration skills; ability to drive understanding and information exchange across all stakeholders
  • Highly experienced on synthesizing data and providing analytics driven insights
  • Highly experienced in financial/budget management
  • Attention to detail, ability to articulate without ambiguity
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Experience in Agile implementation

Role Specific Technical Competencies
  • Strong stakeholder management and ability to operate in a global, complex, highly matrixed organization
  • Communications & Presentation skills - Ability to create and deliver effective presentations and ability to craft strong value propositions to influence & manage cross-functional team towards desired outcome.
  • Knowledge of effective planning and project management techniques and ability to contribute to operational (short term), tactical (1-2 years) and strategic (3-5 years) planning in support of the overall business plan.
  • Knowledge of strategies, technologies and practices of digital transformation; ability to manage the challenges brought by digital era successfully to achieve business goals.
  • Knowledge of effective agile project management strategies and tactics and ability to plan, organize, monitor, and control projects, ensuring efficient utilization of technical and administrative resources to achieve project objectives.
  • Knowledge of and ability to read, interpret and draw accurate conclusions from financial and numerical material. Knowledge of and ability to use processes, tools, and techniques for exploring and evaluating alternative financial scenarios and results.
