The Role Responsibilities
  • As a Business Software Analyst, you will assist the Sales Support Manager in achieving its business operational goals, by solving business problems through implementing relevant and innovative software solutions.
  • Investigate and assess business requirements/needs and translate these into functional and technical requirements
  • Writing high quality, efficient, maintainable object-oriented codes and enforcing best practices in code quality, security and release/deployment process
  • Carrying out Proof-of-Concepts (PoC) projects to assess new solutions and technologies
  • Assist in the setup of web server, day to day system operation, back up and as well as system hardening.
  • Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate risk issues related to system, database and application design.
  • Exploring and evaluating new and emerging technologies and solutions to push capabilities forward
  • Understand the entire scope of the Business Solution team and giving support when needed
  • Work closely with stakeholders to develop and implement solutions to achieve common goals and drive client engagement
  • Work with operations team (where needed) to ensure that client requests are fulfilled
  • Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group's Values and Code of Conduct.
  • Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.

Our Ideal Candidate
  • Tertiary qualification in Computer Science/Engineering or any relevant qualification experience
  • 2years of Experience.
  • Commitment to quality in performing required tasks.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure, fast-paced agile environment
  • Possess exceptional stakeholder management, presentation skills and effective oral/written communications and a team player
  • Excellent debugging and testing skills
  • High initiative
Role Specific Technical Competencies
  • Strong J2SE/J2EE knowledge
  • Object Oriented Programming and design patterns.
  • Web-based applications development based on Spring MVC Framework, Hibernate ORM, Groovy or Grails
  • J2SE 1.4 JDK
  • STS(Spring Tool Suite) IDE
  • Open source architecture, implementation and delivery.
  • MySQL database performance tuning.
  • Technical Documentation
