PIMCO is seeking an Equity Derivatives Trader with 3+ years of experience, to be based in Singapore. The ideal candidate would have a strong Equity Derivatives background, with exposure to options, futures, and total return swaps trading. The candidate must be detail-oriented and able to work well on a cohesive high performing team. S/He will work with traders, portfolio managers, research analysts, and internal support teams on a wide array of investment strategies. Coverage will primarily be on APAC and EMEA markets.

Requirements:
  • Must have 3+ years' of direct trading experience in equity options (single name / Index), equity futures, equity swaps.
  • Knowledge/Experience of trading EMEA markets an advantage.
  • Understanding of Cash Equity markets and execution an advantage.
  • Must show desire in identifying and recommending trade ideas and opportunities.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure within a fast-paced environment and execute high volumes of trades in different regions and products simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail in every aspect of the trading and settlement process.
  • Able to work independently with a strong understanding of Risk Frameworks and Regulation.
  • Equity middle office and operations experience is a plus.
  • Must have the willingness to partner effectively with legal/compliance, middle /back office, pricing, confirms, and other support teams to avoid issues in operationally complex markets with stringent regulatory environments.
  • Strong communication skills required to provide market updates and make presentations to senior stakeholders in Portfolio Management team.
  • Must have flexibility for global trading coverage as activity permits.
  • Must be able to improve/create more efficient desk processes.
  • Excel, VBA, Python and other coding skills are a plus.
  • Proven project management skills required to assist Head of Trading.
  • Bachelor's degree from accredited institution with a focus in finance, economics, mathematics or business.
