Senior UX Designer - Private Markets Strategic Product Initiatives

The Team:
Software Solutions provides clients with industry leading software and services, covering enterprise data management, investment management, loans software and services and private markets solutions. The team is composed of a diverse set of enterprise software, SaaS, data, and service offering, including the following market leading products: iLevel, EDM, thinkFolio, Wall Street Office (WSO), SNL Banker, Debt Domain, Notice Manager and Prism.

Job Description:
S&P Software Solutions is currently seeking a seasoned, progressive, and innovative Senior UX Designer to design a suite of innovative enterprise solutions that will significantly differentiate S&P's value proposition in Private Markets. This role will be focused on creating a set of world-class UX design artifacts by working with key partners across Product Management, Engineering, Commercial Strategy, Sales, and Client Management to design our product vision of creating a world-class platform with natively integrated software, data, and services. Key initiatives include:

Private Credit Investment Platform: Deliver a premier private credit investment platform for the industry that natively integrates data, software, and managed services. Build, modernize, extend, and integrate functionality and private credit workflows Private Investible Universe: Build the leading platform to facilitate high-value interactions between Private Companies and Private Market Investors by reducing key friction points through industry-standard utilities such as identifiers, performance metrics, reference data, benchmarks, peer comps, managed data services, fund-level performance data to power demand for our software solutions, and valuation services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Build storyboards, wireframes, visual designs and user flows to conceptualize designs in order to accurately convey project plans to partners and senior management
  • Create experience prototypes to evaluate product and end-customer assumptions
  • Facilitate stakeholders' understanding of the journey and collaborate with the team to identify which product or feature level opportunities yield the biggest customer impact
  • Leverage product data and market research to identify opportunities for both new products and existing feature improvements
What We're Looking For:
  • Demonstrated experience in creating and implementing UX and visual design for complex enterprise software products
  • Strong visual design skills are a must
  • Proficient with design programs such as Sketch, Figma, InVision, Mural, Adobe Suite and other leading design tools and applications
  • Experience working with and maintaining design systems and component libraries
  • Basic understanding of HTML, CSS and comparable languages or experience working with developers
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment to create top-performing design solutions
  • Careful consideration of how the customer will interact with the product, from overall journey level down to the smallest details
  • Design Thinking skills that demonstrate success in bringing complex enterprise software products to market
  • Show a strong awareness of common interaction patterns and know when and how to apply
  • Professional written and interpersonal skills when communicating with customers
  • Ability to prioritize and manage several milestones and projects efficiently
  • Account for challenges using problem-solving or critical thinking skills while seeking to optimize data for the best possible outcome
  • Experience creating storyboards, wireframes, visual designs
  • Journey mapping, or service blueprint knowledge
  • Research skills and working knowledge of research and testing software

Compensation/Benefits Information:
  • S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $135k to $160k. Base salary ranges may vary by geographic location.
