Vice President - Credit
- Manages a team(s) of professional staff (domestic and/or global) responsible for completing numerous credit processing and assessment activities, including credit analysis & reporting, underwriting, borrower rating, transaction review and proposal for intraday credit.
- Contributes to the implementation of the overall discipline strategy and policies as they apply to the team(s), and implements approved changes and improvements.
- Contributes to discipline strategy changes to further improve compliance or become compliant with organizational policies and regulations.
- Continues to build knowledge of regional laws, policies and regulations.
- Contributes to the assessment and validation of control processes for the assigned credit risk discipline to ensure compliance with laws, rules and regulations.
- Recruits, directs, motivates and develops professional staff, maximizing their individual contribution, their professional growth and their ability to function effectively with their colleagues as a team.
- Provides feedback at the most critical times.
- Appropriately uses the information management systems to identify critical current and emerging credit issues for the assigned credit discipline.
- Helps the assigned regional team develop loan structures, terms and conditions, policies and practices that facilitate timely identification of customer, facility and/or portfolio credit quality to quickly remediate instances of declining asset quality.
- Is beginning to build working relationships with senior professionals across Credit Services to improve their risk responsiveness.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics or related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required. MBA, similar degree, or equivalent experience is preferred.
- 7-10 years of total work experience, with 0-1 years of management experience, preferred.
- Prior experience/background in credit analysis preferred.
