Position Description

We are seeking a Counterparty and Administration Manager to lead our counterparty relationship and trading documentation team. This team supports the firm's global operations and trade support team. In this role, you will coordinate complex projects involving business groups across all functional areas of the firm, including non-U.S. offices, and assist the business in implementing targeted solutions. A critical component of the role will be outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate with employees across functions and at all levels of seniority, addressing issues in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Shepherding and helping to implement end-to-end trading counterparty onboarding process, including:
    • Gathering due diligence information
    • Coordinating and responding to counterparty questions
    • Issuing escalation and resolution management
    • Updating accounts with counterparties on legal agreements and contracts, including ISDA Master Agreements, MSFTAs, GMRA/MRA, and other trading agreements and counterparty documents
  • Managing a team of onboarding professionals
  • Leveraging counterparty relationships to implement change, guiding servicing expectations, and scaling business model to ensure a streamlined process for day one trading
  • Maintaining counterparty metadata in a proprietary database and other third-party systems
  • Working closely with counterparties and internal stakeholders, including Legal, Account Management, Portfolio Management, Operations, Transitions, and Collateral to address Counterparty related issues and account onboarding tasks
  • Supporting the reporting and account maintenance as required with counterparties (i.e., AUM, KYC/CDD refresh, tax forms, etc.)
  • Developing and implementing solutions regarding process enhancements, procedurals improvements, and automation opportunities
  • Ad-hoc projects, as assigned


Qualifications
  • Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree
  • Minimum five years of experience with one or more of the following:
    • Previous experience with an asset manager, investment bank, or investment advisor concerning counterparty documentation
    • US Patriot Act and various Know-Your-Customer/Anti-Money Laundering/Customer, Due Diligence requirements (e.g., Dodd-Frank, EMIR reporting requirements, etc.)
    • Third-party onboarding, KYC or documentation platforms or applications
  • Basic knowledge of derivatives or forward/financing transactions, various master agreements (including ISDA Master Agreement and Credit Support Annex, Master Repurchase Agreement/Global Master Repurchase Agreement, Master Securities Forward Transaction Agreement, Prime Brokerage Documentation)
  • Experience with MS Excel, Smartsheets, or other similar database system is desired
PIMCO follows a total compensation approach when rewarding employees which includes a base salary and a discretionary bonus. Base salary is the fixed component of compensation that is determined by core job responsibilities, relevant experience, internal level, and market factors. The discretionary bonus is used to award performance and therefore is determined by company, business, team, and individual performance.
