Who we are looking for
The Technical Lead will work on the Collateral+ platform in US. The individual will lead activities of individual contributors with accountability for results in terms of development outcome and guidance. Serves as senior developer in developing and leading integration projects and implement solutions for high impact. Strong understanding and hands on experience of technology landscape in and end-to-end development work in platform integration projects. Ensure development and delivery of work primarily related to integrating packages from vendor platforms on to State Street environment. Ability to architect/design/develop with minimum requirements by effectively coordinating activities between business analysts, developers and managers. Uses advanced technical expertise in analyzing, designing, estimating, and developing software applications to project schedule. The successful candidate will be responsible for defining, planning and implementing technology solutions to achieve Collateral Management strategic directives and industry/regulatory mandates. The individual will be responsible for working with Business and Technology counterparts across global sites as a Product Owner and use their knowledge of the business systems, industry, and system development lifecycle methodology to direct the execution of complex projects throughout their life cycle.

What you will be responsible for

  • Lead very complex and challenging business/system requirements working session by facilitating strategic user meetings.
  • Drive the analysis of current processes and recommend solutions and improved processes; may provide counsel on impact of systems changes to business processes.
  • Decompose abstract and complex details/concepts into business and functional requirements that can be understood by the stakeholders (i.e. end users, developers, testers, etc.)
  • Lead design sessions within IT development team to ensure designs are of high quality. Walkthrough solutions to business and receive appropriate stakeholder approval.
  • Translate business requirements into projects by considering all alternatives and implementing the best strategy to ensure design meets performance, usability, and reliability and scalability requirements.
  • Develop framework that would automate and enable applications to source data to big data infrastructure.
  • Design and implement framework that would allow applications to stream real time data from various applications to the big data lake.
  • Design, implement and maintain jobs for Data movement and Data Integration for Risk and Regulatory applications. Provide oversight for big data team in handling big data jobs across all Risk applications.
  • Develop Frameworks, standards and guidelines for project components like Exception module, Data Feed Monitor, scalable metadata driven UI implementation.
  • Oversee maintenance and support of existing software applications
  • Ensure governance with the project methodology standards, documentation, and approvals (e.g. project artifacts, tollgates, etc.)
  • Manage participation from required stakeholders to ensure accurate deliverables
  • Manage cross team dependencies with other business and IT areas.
  • Level of Education / Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science

Education & Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or its equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field; and
  • 10+ years of experience in professional software development.

Additional requirements
  • More than 8 years of IT experience working with various technologies - Big Data, Oracle and ETL
  • Good experience working with Financial Risk systems specially relating
  • Solid understanding of Big Data concepts and tools - sqoop, Spark, Oozie , Hive etc.
  • Work on implementation Collateral management project on Hadoop.
  • End to end knowledge of development and delivery of projects.
  • Outstanding communication, analytical and problem solving skills to effectively interact with multi-disciplinary teams and present to every level of the organization.
  • Proven experience implementing financial systems using standardized SDLC methodologies and tools (e.g. AGILE).
  • Experience working in an environment managing multiple, concurrent projects with shifting priorities, demands, and timelines.
  • Excellent analytical, interpersonal and collaborative skills.
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills, presentation and facilitation skills.
