Description:

TEKsystems are working with our global Forex and Crypto trading client to hire enthusiastic Core Java developers to join their growing development team, where they collaboratively solve interesting and challenging technical problems, developing high quality, low latency, permanent software. As a member of the dev team you will work to design and build new features to the existing code base, as well as research and develop new and innovative software solutions to help maintain our client's edge in the marketplace. All of our client's products are built from a common platform, so the team works across the whole business. To avoid accumulating knowledge silos, they actively rotate developers around all their sub-teams, ensuring that everyone gains first-hand knowledge on all areas of their codebase. This means you can expect to participate in a wide variety of work: designing and building software for low latency trading systems, investigating new block chain technologies, and doing data analytics work to help senior management make data-led business decisions are a few examples.

Recent projects the dev team have worked on include:

• Adding features to our matching engine to support new product launches

• Securing cryptocurrencies with customised hardware security modules

• Building chaos testing of our automated database failovers

• Adding FIDO2 MFA to our internal administration consoles

• Stream processing market data at rates in excess of 2 million events a second through our analytics platform

About the team:
  • The dev team works in a very social and cooperative environment, even when working remotely - Our client strongly believes that a collaborative process supports developing high level code at speed
  • Test Driven - Our client relies heavily on TDD, supported by a strong automated testing infrastructure
  • Dedicated to quality - Our client won't pressure you to cut corners to meet deadlines, although it is important to deliver things in a timely manner, writing things properly and cleanly the first time is priority
