The Team: S&P Global Sustainable1 is seeking a Chief Infrastructure Engineer to be subject matter expert and the lead architect of SRE, DevOps & Database Engineering Team to operationalize, visualize & automate world-class products to solve engineering, collaboration & cloud challenges.

The Impact: You will play an integral role in the build-out of new products into the ESG marketplace.

Responsibilities:
• Lead, automate, and operate our platforms and make them more reliable, stable, and scalable as our usage grows and technology transforms.
• Engage with senior leadership, architects, and engineers to design, document, and evangelize the architecture for the solutions, systems, and capabilities required to achieve our vision of a more cohesive, unified infrastructure at Sustainable1
• Architect and implement automated tests, automated deployments, monitoring, and operational tools along with true observability
• Transition and collaborate with leaders across S&P Technology organizations to help drive our migration to cloud-based solutions.
• Develop tight relationships with multiple software development partners, ensuring that product needs are met from an operations perspective
• You will apply engineering leadership and deep knowledge of infrastructure and software development at scale to lead the operation, adoption, and evolution of these services
• Strong understanding of software development, debugging, optimization, and/or troubleshooting - hands-on experience with common programming languages preferred
• Own the AI/ML & CI/CD Operations to facilitate faster time to market for the products
• Improve our service observability.
• Improve our incident response and maintain operational excellence.
• Establish key objectives and project prioritization for the teams

What We're Looking For:

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
• 10+ yrs. work experience in an analytical field such as computer science. Minimum of 5 years' experience in a leadership role.
• Experience building large and geographically disperse infrastructure supporting business-critical cloud & on-premises services
• Experience working and/or leading in an Agile environment.
• Must be able to engage and influence stakeholders on complex issues.
• Know how to use automation tools like Terraform, Jenkins, or Ansible
• Are experienced with deploying and operating services on Linux/Windows
• Experience running AI/ML operations through CI/CD pipeline
• Experience with 24/7 site monitoring and ability to own uptime & performance SLAs
• Operational experience at scale - designing and operating highly available, scalable, and fault-tolerant systems using best-of-breed technologies like containers, APIs, Data platforms, etc.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, able to collaborate and rally support
• Ability to deploy new practices and tools to keep current with the industry.
• AWS experience - holder of AWS certifications a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience within the ESG space
• Familiarity and/or enthusiasm with Data Science / Machine Learning is a plus

Compensation/Benefits Information (This section is only applicable to US candidates):

S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $125,900 to $287,600. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual's geographical location as well as experience and qualifications for the role.
In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan. This role is not eligible for additional compensation such as an annual incentive bonus or sales commission plan.
