CLARITAS Investments is seeking a Finance and Investments Director being based in Lisbon with the following profile:

• Strong background in finance and tax, with in depth knowledge of Portuguese regulatory framework
• Experience working in an international environment
• Experience working with/in start-ups and small companies
• Keen interest in new energy projects, experience in EV, renewable etc. is appreciated, but not necessary, real-estate experience is also valued.
• Experience with investment processes and capital raising
• Experience dealing with banks
• Relevant university education
• Fluent in Portuguese, fluent in English

The new colleague will be employed by CLARITAS Investments and have a part-time assignment to manage the finances of a new start-up in Portugal in which we are investing. Tasks will include setting up/improving the financial administration, taking care of all bookkeeping, drafting of accounts, tax filing, reporting etc. When necessary administrative support is arranged for basic tasks, such as recording of AP/AR. Further, most importantly, he or she will help to do the budgeting, financial planning and raising debt and lease financing.

This new colleague will also get an additional M&A task to seek further investments in our field of interest (solar, wind, storage, EV investments, …) and help execute these investments.

He or she will be fully integrated in our European investment team, with a clear focus in Portugal.
