My client is one of the top accountancy and business services firms with offices in the UK and around the Globe. They have a great reputation and are renowned for their work life balance, excellent team/manager support and offer hybrid working. This role is working out of their Guildford office.
As an Assistant Manager you will be responsible for a portfolio of clients and be required to work closely with and support more senior members of the team to deliver services.
Role and responsibilities:
• Review year-end statutory accounts compliance and liaise with the necessary audit teams and advisory services
• Assist in research of complex technical areas and offer solutions
• Maintain and build relationships with clients
• Determine resource requirements to service your portfolio, monitor progress against budget and timeframes
• Support direct reports with performance, development and wellbeing. Review their work and resolve issues prior to Manager or Partner review
• Be the point of contact for clients and auditors
Skills and Qualifications:
• Qualified Accountant ACA, CA or equivalent
• Must have UK GAAP experience
• Excellent working knowledge of FRS102 and IFRS
• Experience of delivering statutory accounts preparation or accounting services to clients and businesses in a trainee or senior role
• Understand corporation tax compliance requirements, and information required to generate tax disclosures in financial statements
• Excellent analytical and research skills
• Good team member who can encourage and support others at all levels
