Employee Compliance Analyst


As a Barclays Employee Compliance Analyst, you will effectively manage the various day-to-day critical activities including employee queries related to the various Employee Compliance functions. You will ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, Enterprise Wide Risk Management Framework and internal Barclays Policies and Policy Standards.

We are currently in the early stages of implementing a hybrid working environment, which means that many colleagues spend part of their working hours at home and part in the office, depending on the nature of the role they are in. We're flexible on how this works and it may continue to change and evolve. Depending on your team, typically this means that colleagues spend a minimum of between 20% to 60% of their time in the office, which could be over a week, a month or a quarter. However, some colleagues may choose to spend more time in the office over a typical period than their role type requires. We also have a flexible working process where, subject to business needs, all colleagues globally are able to request work patterns to reflect their personal circumstances. What will you be doing?
  • Providing coverage on employee compliance activities such as clearance of requests and exceptions, including issuing breaches
  • Advising on Employee Compliance policy requirements within the team, to the Compliance department more broadly and Barclays employees as required
  • Maintaining certain information / data points in relevant Barclays systems, databases and excel
  • Supporting the development of activities relating to Employee Compliance Surveillance
  • Assisting with any technology projects including UAT testing
  • Communicating regularly with other Employee Compliance colleagues and employees at all levels across the
  • Ensuring issues are properly escalated to the Compliance Services APAC senior management
  • Assisting with executing the end-to-end process for Employee Compliance functions
What we're looking for:
  • Proactive person who challenges processes and looks for improvement
  • Three to five years of experience in Financial Services industry with experience in compliance or other risk control function
  • Ability to work independently and escalate as necessary
  • Post-Graduation (or equivalent) degree
Skills that will help you in the role:
  • CAMS or ICA AML qualification would be a plus
  • Basic knowledge of Employee Compliance areas (including but not limited to Personal Account Dealing, Private Investments, Outside Affiliations, Gifts and Entertainment)
  • Good understanding of core investment banking business lines and products, including equities, fixed income, commodities, banking and financing activities
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and must be able to communicate with employees at all levels within the company
