You'll be working with colleagues based across the region in at least six distinct locations. We work as a team together with the aspiration to provide trusted IT services and project support to the bank to support the ambitious growth plans.
Do you have a knack for analyzing IT business processes? Are you skilled in challenging and forming a technical solution that is built to scale with a growing business?
We are expanding our China Wealth Management business and seeking an IT Business Analyst based in Hong Kong to drive the change agenda. We're looking for someone like you who can help us:
- conduct requirements-gathering activities, such as evaluating services, using a variety of internal and external data and conducting end user interviews
- identify people and systems impacted by functional and non-functional requirements
- determine required IT business solutions and assist in implementing them
- drive requirements and design discussions between business and IT stakeholders
- challenge business requirements to arrive at a solution that is required
- ensure strict adherence to internal polices and software development lifecycle procedure compliance while delivering high quality IT solutions to the business
- contribute technical expertise to the core banking change portfolio, particularly in the area of Legal Archiving or Record Management
- propose, drive and implement best practices in IT business analysis
- contribute expertise to the management of existing and new IT products and services
- contribute to the growth and success of technology in China for UBS
Mandatory Skills
- technically competent with an appreciation for IT capability, as demonstrated by relevant experience and/or a bachelor's/ master's Degree in IT or equivalent.
- preferable to have Legal Archiving or Record Management experience
- the ability to interpret a set of technical, functional, and non-functional requirements and deliver a robust solution
- experience in driving design discussions to ensure sustainable end-to-end solutions
- good understanding of the software development lifecycle
- strong analytical, problem-solving and synthesizing skills
- good discipline in risk control to achieve high standard in a highly regulated environment
- experience in managing senior stakeholders
- adaptable to a dynamic project portfolio, able to work across teams and functions
- a confident communicator that can explain technology to non-technical audiences
- fluent/native in Mandarin and fluent in English is a must
- experience in working with in-house development teams as well as external vendors
- experience in deploying and supporting core banking & trading systems, wealth management applications and/or regulatory applications, specifically for China markets a plus
