The Client Relationship Manager in the Ameriprise Advisor Center (AAC) is a team based position responsible for managing ongoing relationships with engaged clients and engaging new clients. The Client Relationship Manager deepens client relationships through an advice relationship and/or a needs based selling approach leveraging financial planning tools. Responsible for recommending and selling products and services to clients.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deepen relationships with current clients via the telephone. This includes developing rapport and driving a needs based discussion to engage clients in an effort to understand their short and long-term financial needs. Leverages financial planning tools to provide investment advice to clients and prospects based on financial needs. Recommends suitable products from streamlined list of product solutions leveraging the Product Specialists as needed. Acquires, retains and develops assets of existing clients.
  • Manage work/time to optimize client interactions. Includes: preparing for calls to clients, setting and holding regular (quarterly) meetings with current clients, gathering and documenting information to ensure compliance requirements are met, facilitation of appropriate business processes and the monitoring of interactions and next steps.
  • Engage in on-going professional development to increase industry, product, sales and servicing skills and abilities. Maintain all appropriate FINRA/other licenses and requirements up to date.


Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 1+ years of relevant experience.
  • Series 7, state securities (S63 or S66), state IAR (S65 or S66) and state life, accident and health and variable contract insurance licenses.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the financial services market, economy and industry trends.
  • Robust consulting, influencing and client engagement skills. High level of confidence, perseverance, and a strong desire to achieve.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • In depth knowledge of financial products and financial planning.
  • Outstanding verbal, written, and listening communication skills. Superior customer service skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to display and maintain a highly professional demeanor consistent with Ameriprise values and brand.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Associates degree or equiavalent.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • Previous sales experience or exposure preferred.
  • CLU, ChFC, CRPC and CFP.
