The CalSTRS Investments Branch is seeking an experienced individual to work as an Investment Officer III on the Private Equity team.

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills: 

  • CFA, CAIA, or other industry certification
  • Private Equity investment experience
  • Co-investments, secondaries or direct deal experience
  • Experience performing private market attribution analysis
  • Experience with benchmarks and performance criteria
  • Experience in interaction with external management consultants, advisor, and/or legal expert
  • Experience in underwriting, investment due diligence and investment recommendation
  • Strong financial modeling, portfolio analytics and presentation skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas and information into cohesive written documents
  • Ability to work effectively as an individual and as part of a team to support team, unit, and Investments Branch goals
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and effectively prioritize workload to ensure all deadlines are met
  • Strong work ethic, high integrity, and desire to learn

Telework Information: This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule, with up to three days of remote work and two days or more onsite, per week.
