Investment Analyst/Assistant Portfolio Manager
The Opportunity: We will teach, and train you to understand the investment markets, and the portfolio management process over 2 to 3 years. You will begin as a generalist learning many areas of our business, and over time you will be promoted to a specialist role.
The firm: We are a growing investment manager/RIA managing $7 billion in assets for wealthy individuals, and endowments & foundations.
The role: Investment Analyst on track to become an assistant portfolio manager. You will focus on several areas at first with increasing specialization over time. The candidate should have 2 to 7 years of business experience.
Focus areas:
- Macro- including macroeconomic research, capital market assumptions, asset allocation, and assisting in the preparation of client quarterly investment updates. Due Diligence- assist in the Investment Manager Due Diligence process covering public equity mutual funds and SMA managers, public fixed income, private equity, private credit, real estate and hedge funds. Portfolio Construction and Portfolio Risk Management- assist in constructing and monitoring model portfolios. Portfolio Management & Implementation- assist in transitioning new accounts in a tax efficient manner into new portfolios and investments. Assist with Tax Loss Harvesting. Working with Financial Advisors to prepare new client presentations by reviewing competitor’s portfolios and suggesting improvements.

Required and or Preferred: Academic
- Bachelor’s Degree Masters in finance, Quantitative Finance, Computer Science or other CFA preferred, CFA – passing level 1 or 2 works as well PRM or FRM CFP or CIMA MBA
Required or Preferred: Software
- Microsoft Office – required Power BI, SAS, Python, or other languages are welcome Data Science or Analytics Bloomberg
