THE COMPANY

B2Gold is a low-cost international senior gold producer headquartered in Vancouver, Canada. Founded in 2007, today, B2Gold has three operating gold mines and numerous development and exploration projects in various countries including Mali, the Philippines, Namibia, Colombia, Finland and Uzbekistan. This year, B2Gold forecasts gold production to be 990,000 – 1,050,000 ounces.

POSITION

Investor Relations Associate, Vancouver

LOCATION AND REPORTING STRUCTURE

This position will be based at B2Gold Corporate Office in Vancouver, Canada with a flexible work arrangement option available.

INTRODUCTION

As part of the Investor Relations and Communications team, this position reports to the Vice President, Investor Relations and Corporate Development and supports the Company’s engagement with shareholders and the investment community. The role is expected to be fast-paced and dynamic and ideal candidates needs to work well both independently and in a team environment.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work with various internal teams to prepare drafts of news releases that are consistent with corporate messaging and manage the publishing process;
• Develop, update, and maintain investor presentations for investor marketing purposes;
• Research and create regular reports and analyses for senior management on peer group of companies for comparison and benchmarking;
• Research and report on relevant market topics and provide insights to stock market activity on the Company, affiliates, and peer group of companies;
• Develop and maintain relationships with existing and new research analysts and associates;
• Manage day to day communications with analysts and associates, providing answers to questions;
• Review, update, and maintain database of key consensus valuation metrics;
• Work with senior management to coordinate strategic initiatives with key investors;
• Maintain dialogue and develop relationships with existing and new retail brokers and retail investors;
• Develop answers to questions from retail investors and brokers and make sure communications are consistent and positive;
• Assist in maintaining financial models focusing on earnings, balance sheet metrics; and
• Perform other duties as required in support of Company objectives.

 QUALIFICATIONS

• Three to five years of experience in a similar investor relations role, preferably in the mining industry;
• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance, or similar field;
• CFA designation or working towards it is strongly preferred;
• Superior communication skills (verbal and written), proactive attitude, and a track record of success and growth;
• Dedicated, well-organized, and resourceful with a high level of attention to detail and able to handle confidential information;
• Proven relationship building ability with analysts, investors, and brokers;
• Strong project management and organizational skills with ability to work in a fast-paced environment;
• Strong interpersonal skills and able to work both independently and collaboratively in a group setting.

Additional Desired Qualifications:

• Experience working with mining companies who operate in challenging jurisdictions, capital markets experience, and a financial modelling background considered as strong assets.

Job Demands/Physical Requirements:

• This position might be required to travel for investor events at times (~10%);
