US Macro Vice President Attorney

As a Barclays Macro US Vice President (VP) Attorney, you would be a part of the supporting counsel that will assist Barclays International's Markets business on all legal and regulatory matters related to fixed-income trading, primarily covering the Macro Markets businesses ("Macro") and the Risk Solutions Group - Americas ("RSG"), a hybrid group that bridges investment banking and Macro trading, and, from time to time assisting with coverage of Credit & Emerging Markets.

What will you be doing?

• Providing legal advice that extends to the range of Macro's trading and sales products
• Supporting other members of Legal Advisory, including those covering Credit & Emerging Markets and drafting and negotiating trading documentation for transactions
• Communicating one's legal analysis and conclusions both orally and in writing to relevant stakeholders
• Advising the relevant trading and sales desks on regulatory issues, including those that arise under any applicable regulatory regime
• Assisting Operations and the relevant Macro trading business with the drafting of Confirmations
• Working closely with other support functions and stakeholders within the Macro Markets businesses and the Risk Solutions Group
• Reviewing and analysing credit-facility documentation, including credit agreements, security agreements, inter creditor agreements, guarantees and collateral agreements
• Ensuring adherence to all applicable legal, regulatory, governance and risk controls and attending, as a representative of Macro Legal Advisory, internal and external meetings

What we're looking for:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Law
• Juris Doctorate
• Admission to the New York Bar
• Experience at a top-tier law firm or in-house legal department at an investment bank

Where will you be working?

You will be working at our Americas Headquarters at 745 Seventh Avenue. This 37-story office tower is located in Times Square in the heart of Manhattan and features a cafeteria, fitness center and state-of-the-art LED signage on the facade of the building.
