Investment Manager Job Description

 

I.     MISSION

Olympus Wealth Management provides complex financial planning and institutional investment management solutions to high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth families. More specifically, it provides sophisticated planning to address the complexities that wealthy families face, investment management tailored to the unique needs and risk profile of its clients, first-class service with a focus on fewer, larger relationships, and a multi-family office that can be a client’s family CFO and gatekeeper.

 

The Investment Manager is an experienced investment professional who performs the responsibilities below.  

 

II.    RESPONSIBILITIES

Investments and related matters for existing clients

  • Participate in the following in coordination with CIO:
  • Monitoring, researching, and synthesizing economic and market data and trends
  • Building and maintaining efficient asset allocations
  • Analyzing tactical shifts to model portfolios and making recommendations to investment committee
  • Selecting managers and ongoing due diligence
  • Trading of portfolios
  • Sourcing and researching private investments
  • Providing regular reporting to investment committee
  • Managing investment discussion for larger and more complex client relationships identified by the CIO
  • Drafting regular investment communication

Investments and related matters for prospects

  • Help Wealth Advisor team to close and onboard new business
  • Introduce investment philosophy and process
  • Oversees risk tolerance assessments, investment policy statements, and transition and phase-in plans
  • Identify new business opportunities and integrate Wealth Advisor team
  • Increase firm revenue and assets under management
  • Spend time with clients to promote referrals
  • Spend time with attorneys, accountants, and other professionals who work with high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients
  • Participate in networking groups where industry representatives gather to share connections
  • Attend community networking events
  • Participate in industry groups or on boards where we can demonstrate expertise
  • Training and mentoring of team members
  • Meet with team members on a regular basis
  • Cultivate the culture of servant leadership

 

III.   QUALIFICATIONS
Experience and Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; graduate degree preferred
  • SME in investments for HNW/UHNW clients
  • CFA preferred
  • 7+ years direct investment experience with HNW/UHNW clients

 

Skills and Knowledge: 

  • Excellent communicator (verbal, written and listening)
  • Strong interpersonal skills (integrity, humility, respect, empathy)
  • Effective working in a team setting
  • Proven ability to manage multiple client relationships
  • Extensive and up-to-date knowledge of investment topics
  • Effective at time management and multi-tasking
  • Strong leadership experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Past use of CRM system
