Laurel Wealth Planning is hiring someone who can analyze and recommend changes to client investment portfolios and support Wealth Managers.

The investment-related duties, such as performing trade operation processes and procedures, will be about 60% of this role. The remainder of this full-time position will include partnering with Wealth Managers on client advice, analysis, and service, including communicating directly with clients.

This position has growth potential into portfolio management or wealth management roles.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • High initiative, drive, and dedication.
  • Writes clearly and informatively, presents numerical data effectively.
  • Possess ability to read and interpret financial information.
  • Working knowledge of financial and investment terminology and concepts.
  • Strong Excel, Word and Outlook skills.  Prefer experience with Tamarac, Morningstar, CRM, and Money Guide Pro (GPM).
  • Outstanding organizational and multi-tasking skills, and attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal/written skills.
  • Team player.
  • Adapts well to changing work environment and manages competing demands.
  • Prioritizes and plans own work activities; works independently and in a team environment.

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university in financial planning, finance, economics, business, or accounting. If liberal arts degree, financial credentials such as Series 65 license, CFP, or CFA.
  • Academic excellence reflected in your GPA (3.5 or higher).
  • At least 3 years of investment or financial planning industry experience.
  • Experience in trading preferred.
