Position Description:

We are seeking a Client Marketing Manager to join our team. In this role, you will drive the Client Marketing (CM) strategy for our Canadian business and sit within our Client Marketing team. You will collaborate with members of our Client Facing, Campaigns, Content, Creative, Events, and Digital teams. You will also develop and implement multi-year marketing strategies to support our growth in the market.
The position will be based in Toronto and report to the head of Client Marketing Americas.

About You:
  • If the following describes you, let's talk!
  • You challenge the status quo - rejecting "good enough" and resourcefully imagining new ways to build a better mousetrap
  • You're a "big picture" thinker - grasping how projects support business objectives and how you play a meaningful role in our success
  • You're a problem solver - quickly gaining clarity on desired outcomes, understanding root problems, and identifying the best solutions
  • You're a standout teammate - enjoying helping others perform at their best and achieve their fullest potential
  • You're intellectually curious - beyond just knowing the answer, you want to understand the "why" behind the answer
  • You thrive in a fast-paced environment - staying organized while juggling multiple priorities concurrently
  • You're self-motivated - raising a high bar for yourself and reaching beyond the bare minimum of what's required
  • You have keen attention to detail - you've already identified two typos in this job description
  • You share PIMCO's values of Collaboration, Openness, Responsibility, and Excellence, which allow us to bring the best to our clients and each other

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement high impact, integrated marketing strategies using all marketing platforms, including paid media, digital, multimedia, events, sponsorships, etc.
  • Build positive relationships with the Canadian client-facing team to facilitate communication, proactively find opportunities and challenges, and support marketing efforts
  • Lead campaigns for the business, sometimes leveraging broader Americas campaign plans, ensuring local relevance and that we are driving clients closer to purchasing funds (where appropriate), and improving our investment across each stage of the client life cycle
  • Develop and carry out events strategy in collaboration with the client events team
  • Leverage PIMCO's data analytics to compile, analyze and present to the region, including suggestions on how to move forward based on these metrics
  • Foster a strong partnership with legal and compliance to ensure our strategy and all materials produced are in line with local regulations

Position Requirements:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree
  • 8-10 years' experience in intermediary and institutional marketing in the asset management industry (with experience in/for Canada)
  • Fluent in French preferred

Benefits:

PIMCO is committed to offering a comprehensive portfolio of employee benefits designed to support the health and well-being of you and your family. Benefits vary by location but may include:
  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage
  • Life insurance and travel coverage
  • 401(k) (defined contribution) retirement savings, retirement plan, pension contribution from your first day of employment
  • Work/life programs such as flexible work arrangements, parental leave and support, employee assistance plan, commuter benefits, health club discounts, and educational/CFA certification reimbursement programs
  • Community involvement opportunities with The PIMCO Foundation in each PIMCO office

Accommodation for Applicants with Disabilities:

PIMCO will make reasonable efforts to provide accommodation to candidates with disabilities in the course of the recruitment process upon written request. PIMCO requests that candidates seeking accommodation identify their particular accommodation needs as soon as possible in the job selection process.
