ED/MD, Head of Research

Responsibilities

Formulate strategies to achieve the goals set by the Executive Office
Manage the research department and cater to the needs from investors and other departments
Establish KPIs and evaluate the performance of the research team on a regular basis
Provide directions to the research team to enhance research quality, coverage and reputation
Manage and facilitate the communication between research analysts and production team to ensure smooth publication, printing and distribution of research reporting
Review and approve research materials to ensure accuracy, grounds and compliance with regulations
Review all expenses and administrative documentation to ensure proper allocation and usage of resources.
Liaise with other departments to provide the proper support for events/projects;
Promote the firm's research products and research team to investors, media and other parties
Chair daily morning meetings and coordinate research ideas.

Requirements

MBA or equivalents top schools with Accounting designations (CPA/CA) and CFA qualification
At least 10 years' experience in the investment industry
Excellent communicator in a written and verbal manner
Strong sense of responsibility
Well organized with attention to details
Ability to work effectively and independently in a highly confidential, fast-paced environment with fluctuating priorities and deadlines
Excellent presentation, organization and project management skills
Strong command of written and verbal English and Chinese
