The Role: With the emergence of client challenges surrounding Advanced Analytics, the Upstream Solutions organization has responded in kind with several strategic initiatives and exciting new products in this space like Energy Studio: Impact and Analytics Explorer. There is a need for dedicated program management support to accelerate go-to-market of new solutions in this space, to improve coordination between various developing initiatives and products, to help identify market opportunities, and to promote product harmonization and customer delight.

The Location: Houston, Texas, Calgary, Canada, London

The Team: Reporting to the Upstream Solutions Business Management Lead, the role is centered around coordination at heart. Staying in close connection with the Upstream Leadership Team (LT), our Product Management and Development teams, this person will drive collaboration of Analytics projects across Upstream and will be an internal champion to promote our capabilities to colleagues working on analytics research and/or projects.

Responsibilities:
  • In partnership with the Upstream LT, improve coordination between various Advanced Analytics strategic initiatives across Upstream, keeping related projects on track, aligning priorities, blocking scope-creep, and eliminating overlapping efforts
  • Collaborate closely with other stakeholders to identify market opportunities and coordination of Upstream contributions across Commodity Insights advanced analytics efforts
  • Tracks overall fiscal budget and key metrics for select energy transition projects
  • Track the efficacy and drives ROI of portfolio (Vitality Index) and product development investments in the area of AA.
  • Drives new product launch plans in collaboration with product and commercial/sales teams
  • Accelerates product lifecycle from inception and communicates roadmaps to stakeholders
  • Develops development investment business cases for management approval
  • Supports Product Management to create and maintain pricing schedules that reflect product value
  • Mentors customer-facing staff and may train Sales on solution selling techniques in the energy transition space
  • Works with Product Management & Marketing to create effective customer value propositions that result in customer purchase and adoption of new products or enhancements to existing products
  • Articulate product positioning to both a business and technical audience
What We're Looking For:
  • Minimum 8 years experience in a B2B product management, corporate strategy, business development, and/or commercialization.
  • Highly organized, business-oriented, with excellent emotional intelligence and an affinity for revenue generation.
  • Full E&P lifecycle expertise (especially Upstream) with understanding of the interplay it has with analytics.
  • Pragmatic Marketing trained/certified or equivalent a plus
  • Ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders in disparate groups with different motivations and goals
  • Experience creating solution sets with Upstream products and services
  • Demonstrable evidence of process development and internal adoption with ability to drive projects to completion
  • Must be able to work effectively as part of a remote team and foster team cooperation through influence
  • Stays current with rapidly changing industry and client needs around analytics
  • Aptitude for presenting thoughts and ideas to all levels of internal and external stakeholders
S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $125,900 to $250,300 . Base salary ranges may vary by geographic location.
In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan
