Role description and opportunities

This Business Management role, reporting into the Chief Operating Officer, will be responsible for business planning & analysis in addition to a full range of business management activities. The successful candidate will be working in a team environment, possess attention to detail, a focus on quality, high energy, and flexibility in a fast-paced organization. This role will work and partner horizontally across Marketing & Communications.

Key responsibilities include the following:

  • Responsible for annual and quarterly planning, working closely with Marketing & Communications teams and business line stakeholders to understand business goals, priorities, and ROI. Partner closely with Data & Analytics team to review scorecards, tracking progress against set objectives. Develop regular business results reporting cadence to stakeholders.
  • Manage monthly and quarterly business review meetings, whereby managing reviews in alignment with priorities and OKRs .
  • Help manage strategic meeting agendas and follow-up actions, whereby helping contribute to the achievement of business goals and objectives.
  • Prepare presentations and meeting materials that help drive forward strategic initiatives designed to help further the goal of the Marketing & Communications function.
  • Responsible for special projects, process recommendations and rollouts, as identified.
  • Work with the Business Management team to help enforce policies, standards, and processes.
  • Together with COO, manage monthly Vendor Sourcing Council, partnering closely with Procurement, Finance, and members of the Marketing & Communications leadership team, identifying efficiencies across vendor portfolio.
  • Partner closely across the function as trusted advisor, and often collaborating with other COO, CAO, and Finance teams. Serve as a connection point across Marketing & Communications; business liaison for internal service providers, i.e., Finance, Technology, Audit Compliance, Procurement, Facilities, HR, etc.
  • Exercise autonomy in anticipating a diverse range of highly complex issues and troubleshooting these issues as they arise. Appropriately prioritize, address and/or identify the level of urgency and escalate, as required

A successful candidate should ideally have these qualifications
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills
  • Min of 7 - 10 years of experience in similar role, preferably financial services. Prior Consulting experience a plus. Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Experience in administration, planning & analysis, with prior marketing strategy and planning experience a plus
  • Prior experience in project management or applicable business or function and cost-effective budgetary responsibility.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
  • Tact and good judgement in confidential situations and proven experience interacting with senior management
  • Strong relationship management skills
  • A dvanced skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint a must
