Our offices are significantly growing, where London is currently consisting of 70+ colleague and counting. This growth enables the Fund to expand its global investment portfolio and build our international profile by having a permanent presence in Europe.

As part of AustralianSuper's international growth plans, we are now expanding the Legal Investment team and in search of an experienced Corporate/Company Secretary. Focusing on supporting the CoSec function, you will helping to manage the secretariat and governance for direct transactions forums and committees, taking on AustralianSuper's separate legal entities (SLEs) within the international portfolio.

Your new team

Currently a team of five in London, the Legal Investment team focus across our Real Asset portfolio, Infra, Property, and Private Credit. We also have a Corporate Legal team of two locally, in addition to teams in Australia and New York.

Our Company Secretary, with over 20 years of expertise in the Corporate Secretariat space, sits in Australia, so you'll also be supported globally from the team there, alongside the London teams.

Our office is based at Pancras Square, which is part of the Kings Cross redevelopment project, one of our core and most visible assets. We have a fantastic hybrid working policy, encouraging a blended model of both office and home working. We also offer flexible working where needed as there will be meetings with the team in Australia on different occasions.

Your new role:

As this is the first seat internationally, the Fund is looking for an experienced and autonomous profile who has exposure working in all areas of corporate governance:
  • Manage all related tasks for the Fund's single legal entities (SLEs) internationally (UK/EU/US)
  • Manage, and lead on A-Z CoSec duties, including meetings/calendars set-up, distributions, minute-taking, monitoring updates on investment decision, and board paper solutions.
  • Be the key liaise with all internal and external Directors, ensuring all meetings are run effectively and efficiently
  • Assist with related duties for the Fund's operating subsidiaries
  • Assist with management of the secretariat and governance for all forums- Direct Investment, Portfolio Heads, and Asset Class Investment Groups
  • Support the management of Investment Committee matters, including delegations, papers, and new members
  • Monitor and assist on key deliverables with the delegation, providing timely and relevant reports
  • Work with tax compliance and legal on applicable requirements
  • Provide timely and relevant reports


You'll need...
  • Experience working within corporate governance and with Boards of Directors
  • Hold ICSA qualifications
  • Previous exposure working for investment entities
  • Broad knowledge of legal, accounting, and tax concepts
  • Proven ability working with Senior Leadership
  • Good team player but confident to work autonomously
