As a Barclays Global Contract Services (GCS) Negotiator - AVP, you will be performing negotiations of Master Trading Netting Agreements. You will have a specific focus on the ISDA derivatives space with the Bank's counterparties. You will work with large asset managers and hedge funds, directly contributing to the Bank's efficient use of capital, fostering and managing a solid internal and external network.

What will you be doing?

• Negotiating and executing master trading agreements as well as ancillary documentation, including, ISDAs, CSAs, Guarantees, CDEAs and NDAs
• You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory and documentation risk controls and adhering to associated guidelines and procedures
• Conducting independent legal analysis and managing relationships with external counsel where necessary and within Barclays requirements on external legal spend
• You will be responsible for fostering and managing client relationships with the bank's clients and investment managers
• Delivering team and departmental projects and objectives and participating in the development processes, policies and procedures
• Preparing and delivering training and presentations to colleagues in Legal and other areas of the Bank
• Performing quality checks on negotiations conducted by other negotiators prior to execution
• Participating in department wide projects

What we're looking for:

• Bachelor's Degree Legal/Business
• Sound understanding of derivatives master documentation
• Three+ years of financial services experience, in legal or as a negotiator
• Competence in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint

Skills that will help you in the role:

• Law degree or qualified attorney admitted in NY
• Previous experience with Fund management (buy/sell side) and hedge fund on-boarding
• Familiarity with regulatory project implementation
