What we are looking for:

Fiera Private Alternative Investments (FPAI) is a division of Fiera Capital Corporation that operates different business lines and private market investment strategies namely infrastructure, real estate, private credit, agriculture, private equity, etc. It manages capital for numerous institutional and private investors from different countries around the globe. The business currently has over $14 billion of assets under management.

As the FPAI division continues to pursue its ambitious growth plans globally, it is recruiting a Senior Analyst to support the creation of a shared service at FPAI, be responsible for divisional accounting and play a role in special project work such as expansion of current funds, entering new markets and buying businesses.

Your responsibilities:

Within the framework of his/her role, the Senior Analyst will be responsible for:
  • Accounting for private markets subsidiaries
  • Analyzing financial results and reporting key analysis to the Director
  • Produce financial analyses requested by various executives
  • Participate in the creation of shared services
  • Review existing processes, develop improvements and implement them. Where no processes exist, implement financial processes and business procedures
  • Represents as resource person for business lines, investors and any other stakeholders with questions pertaining to accounting and/or administration
  • Ensure effective controls are in place in processes
  • Take part in the preparation of the audit file
  • Participate in ad hoc projects in the finance department

Must have requirements to be successful in this role:
  • 4+ years of relevant experience
  • CPA designation
  • Rigorous, meticulous and strong analytical skills
  • Organized, self-starter
  • Effective communicator
  • Quick learner, excellent judgment and proactive approach
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)
  • Motivated, hands-on, detail-oriented and able to meet tight deadlines in a rapidly changing environment while managing multiple files and requests at the same time
  • High energy, positive and entrepreneurial
  • Experience in financial services or asset management would be an asset
  • Advanced client service skills and able to work closely with business lines
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English and French
