Overview

The Risk IT Group is supporting and enhancing enterprise risk systems to accommodate new/changing regulatory rules. The application has the ability to aggregate the risk measures across the firm, in support of regulatory as well as internal risk management requirements. System provides measures for all other risk disciplines, including market, liquidity and operational risk. We are looking for a leader with seasoned people and program management skills in this domain.

Leads a large global team responsible for all phases of the systems development and implementation process. Provides management of analysis, design, development, testing and ongoing support for the client area application systems in an environment of diverse development platforms. Manages the development of design requirements, designs, tests, documents and implements projects. Manages staff in ensuring systems are developed to meet clients' business needs and expectations. Communicates timely and accurate project-related information to relevant parties. Encourages innovation and creativity in technology solutions. Participates in the recruiting process, instructs, assigns, directs and reviews the work of other applications developers, prepares performance reviews and provides ongoing feedback. Manages a development team across multiple locations and contributes to the achievement of team objectives.

The qualified candidate will have strong experience as leader in Agile methodology and will have experience working on large scale distributed systems backed by large data sets. Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and experience managing large sets of data.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in business or technical-related discipline, master's degree is preferred
  • 8 + years of experience in systems analysis and program development with related supervisory, management and administrative experience required, experience in the financial services industry especially in the area of Enterprise Risk (Credit / Market / Operation) and Securities Financing business is a plus.
  • 3+ years of Experience managing project with very large Data warehouse platform.
  • Ability to manage financials for multiple projects.
  • 5+ years of Experience in Agile project management methodologies.
  • 5+ years of experience in managing projects and 3+ years of managing people on complex technology stack. Experience with Oracle (PL/SQL), Pentaho(ETL), Java (Core java, Sprint Boot, Angular) technologies is preferable.
  • Experience in the financial services industry especially in the area of Enterprise Risk (Credit / Market / Operation) and Securities Financing business is a plus.
  • Certification related to Agile, Project management, IT audits is plus.
  • Lead large team across multiple global locations, demonstrated experience in leading development, testing and automation teams
  • Guide in all phases of a DevOps implementation and support cycle of technology projects
  • Communicate effectively across multiple technical and business owners.
  • Improve efficiencies in business processes, reducing cost involved and driving projects successfully from inception to completion and closure to achieve business outcomes
  • Conduct system analysis and work estimate for projects.

Manages the development of modifications as needed. Develops, enhances, and maintains quality application systems to support the client area. Communicates timely and accurate project-related information to relevant parties. Encourages innovation and creativity in technology solutions. Participates in the recruiting process, instructs, assigns, directs and reviews the work of other applications developers, prepares performance reviews and provides ongoing feedback. Manages a development team. Contributes to the achievement of team objectives.

Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required. 8 + years of experience in systems analysis and program development with related supervisory, management and administrative experience required, experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.
