The Analytics, Data, and Innovation (AD&I) Organization is a key growth area within Morgan Stanley's Wealth Management Division playing a critical role in the execution of the wider Wealth Management strategy. AD&I supports Wealth Management's business objective of delivering first class investment advice and driving tactical decision making at scale by utilizing data and analytical tools to drive innovation in an increasingly competitive landscape. Our expertise puts Morgan Stanley at the forefront of the financial services industry. Within AD&I, the WM Divisional Data Office manages Data Quality related issues, prioritizes data for compliance with the Global Data Policy, builds Data Quality controls, and catalogs PII in order to measurably reduce data-related risks and enable fit-for-purpose data across all business areas and initiatives.
Roles and Responsibilities
The WM Data Governance and Strategy VP within the Wealth Management Data Divisional Office will prioritize data for policy compliance by leading partnerships with data stakeholders across all lines of business, and will drive the development and execution of the data quality strategy and operations enabling a best-in-class Data Governance Program. Responsibilities include end-to-end management of Prioritized Data Initiatives, development of a streamlined data cataloging and reporting processes, relationship building with data owners, and execution of training to data owners and consumers.

Key responsibilities include:
  • -Be an active and strategic voice on the WM Data Governance team, driving our core data vision forward
  • -Improve and drive overall strategy, methodology, and roadmap for the processes , systems, tools and capabilities required to produce and maintain our core data assets.
  • -Synthesize the needs of our key stakeholders into clear roadmap and execution plans


Qualifications:

-7-10 years of experience in financial services and/or data governance
-Highly motivated / self-starter with a sense of ownership, willingness to learn, high degree of curiosity and desire to succeed
-Strong attention to detail and proven ability to prioritize, manage delivery of a wide range of initiatives concurrently and developing logical plans to manage those initiatives
-Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to determine business partner needs and identify solutions
-Solid relationship management skills to generate productive and inclusive team dynamics.
-Experience with data catalog system (e.g. Collibra) preferred
